    Dr. Esther Lim

    Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

Esther graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2013 from Columbia University in the City of New York and won the faculty award for excellence in adult neurorehabilitation. She went on to work at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in oncology rehabilitation. Hoping to be closer to her family, Esther moved back to Singapore and joined KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), during which she started to specialise in Women’s and Children’s Pelvic Health.

At KKH, she was a clinical instructor to students and new-hires. She developed and launched a new tele-webinar service that educates mothers on how to troubleshoot common postpartum issues. She’s an educator at heart and enjoys speaking engagements to the public and medical doctors regarding pelvic pain, pelvic floor exercise and menopause, returning to sports postpartum and more.

Esther's rigorous training in the US and Singapore specialized in treating women and children with pelvic floor dysfunctions has set a high bar for clinical excellence. She strives to provide evidence-based, compassionate and holistic care to her patients.

Galvanized by her personal experience with severe pelvic pain and incontinence during pregnancy and postpartum, Esther is motivated to empower women to understand and take back control of their own bodies. As a mother of two, she is acutely aware of challenges parents face with toilet training children, and identifies with a gentle, family-oriented approach to help children regain their confidence and achieve their goals in continence.

Motherhood permitting, she enjoys playing the piano, running and staying up-to-date on anything and everything related to pelvic health.
