    Dr. Esther Lim

    Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

Esther graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2013 from Columbia University in the City of New York and won the faculty award for excellence in adult neurorehabilitation. She went on to work at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in oncology rehabilitation. Hoping to be closer to her family, Esther moved back to Singapore and joined KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), during which she started to specialise in Women’s and Children’s Pelvic Health.

At KKH, she was a clinical instructor to students and new-hires. She developed and launched a new tele-webinar service that educates mothers on how to troubleshoot common postpartum issues. She’s an educator at heart and enjoys speaking engagements to the public and medical doctors regarding pelvic pain, pelvic floor exercise and menopause, returning to sports postpartum and more.

Esther’s training in the US includes outpatient orthopedics at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, inpatient and post-operative rehabilitation at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center.

With her background in competitive Modern and Chinese Dance in her formative years, she believes that subtle adjustments in posture, core, pelvic floor and even intrinsic muscles of the foot can have a profound impact on performance.

Due to the interconnectedness of the pelvic floor, musculoskeletal system and functional movement. Esther integrates pelvic health and orthopedic techniques to develop individual treatment plans that address specific pelvic health concerns and any underlying musculoskeletal issues to promote optimal well-being
